Senate Judiciary A is chaired by state Sen. Rick Ward, R-Port Allen, a trial lawyer. If you’re looking to blame someone for your ridiculously high auto insurance bill, you can start with Ward.

Voing JBE out will help this state but it won't solve this problem.
We need to turn out the legislature, and have a new version with a wider set of business owners, and fewer attorneys.

Louisiana rates are ridiculously high considering the population and limited urban areas. It is absolutely the result of the litigation climate, with the shitty conditions of the roads and infrastructure bringing up a close 2nd.
But, its not just the litigation, it's the industry on the plaintiff's side (especially the big advertisers). They have a checklist of medical treatment and providers for each level of liability coverage. The more coverage the other driver has, the more medical treatment (and recommended future medical treatment) the plaintiff will get.

Can you believe that career politician Jay Dardenne- who claims to be a Republican -supported that cheezy arse JBE over Vitter?

Nothing is going to happen. That's why people are leaving. We are populated and governed by crooked people.

What did the tort reform bill provide? Do you have a link to the details?

JBE and the ambulance chasers in the senate couldn't risk pissing off their owners. That's why they had the bill killed.
