Mueller's problem could well be that when he has to establish the underlying investigation that Stone allegedly obstructed it's not going to look too good when it's shown that there didnt appear to be much real concern given the apparent lack of real effort to secure the most important item of evidence. May appear to have been more of an effort to jam up Stone rather than the actual investigation.

How about the fact it was initiated for political reasons. Or, that the predicate was fraudulent. Or, that is has been a completely unnecessary disruption of our political system. Or that it unjustly ruined lives. Or that the fact that the allegations were baseless was known well before the mid term elections.
Or, maybe we just don't want to live in a shite hole nation where our intelligence agencies are used as political weapons against our fellow citizens.
