Broken=no

Thrown=absolutely. I can hammer toss an iron pretty damn far, but these days I do the club slam grip release so it just flies really hard into the ground near me. Going to pick up a thrown club is an unnecessary walk.

The key is to aim for the cart and really stay down through the release. Club comes out with a nice, flat trajectory and will slide towards the cart...not an uncontrollable end over end flip.
