Flutie and Newton are two more that you could argue were better.
Newton was unquestionably better.
And VY was a poor man's Michael Vick on his absolute best day.
Tua is better as well.

No argument can be made for VY.
You take Cam Newton without batting an eye.

he wa incredible in 2005
have to wonder what he would have done in one of these 2019 offenses.

Cam beat 2010 Oregon by 3. (An Oregon team that beat 5-7 Cal 15-13.) Auburn beat Mississippi State, Kentucky and Oregon by 3 points.
VY destroyed every team they played and then beat 2005 USC by 3. A USC team with 2 Heisman trophy winners in the backfield on a 34-game win streak.
You can debate talent subjectively but who has the better objective resume and wins is easily VY.

He's not even as good as Matt Jones was at Arkansas. Young had talent around him. Jones had Houston Nutt

Exactly. I guess we should put Greg McElroy and Jay Barker up there too

Sure wasn't too good in the SEC title game and natty game, that's for sure, VY 2-0 on the big stage end season, 7-1 overall against ranked teams at time UT played them

One of those games was against 7-6 Colorado team though. Plus USC’s defense was ranked 48th in the nation. Not trying to say he didn’t have a monster game because he definitely did but it’s not the same.

Anyone arguing Tua is a retard. He didn't take over games like VY.
If Tua was Vince Young, once he threw two picks in the Natty, he would have just ran through the defense for long TD runs.
Not remotely the physical specimen or running talent. People forget...college teams couldn't fricking tackle VY...they sure could tackle the fat shrimp in Tuscaloosa. VY was 6'5"...and just big, with a stride that NFL teams couldn't tackle. Remember that NFL game where he ran up the middle from the fricking 50 yard line and nobody couldn't tackle him.
Why is Tua even in this conversation? Vick and VY are the only freaks we're talking about. He's never been declared the best player in the nation - ever let alone an all-time great...like Cam and Vick and VY.
Cam and VY didn't blow title games and didn't get blown out as the favorite. This Tua talk is ridiculous. A lot of guys can win games for Bama. Doesn't take a Superman. They hand the ball off half the time.

I see your point, but Tua was injured and couldn't run. He played half of the season injured

When it comes to all-time college QBs, Baker might be the greatest force of nature to ever lace em up and he backed it up on the field, still is, that accuracy and mobility Goddamn

Did Cam beat Oregon or did Auburn?
Did VY destroy those teams or did Texas?
What kind of terrible arguments are you offering up here? Team accomplishments as being illustrative of the QB's "resume"?
Okay guy

We've already established what you bring to the table. See above post.
Tua is wildly wildly superior QB to VY. It is not a close call.

This fricking guy uses team accomplishments as the sole basis for his argument that VY is better than various other markedly superior QBs, and then uses *literally* the same basis in support of a contention that Tua isn't on that level.
He should not merely be ignored, but actively disparaged. He is terrible at posting.

You managed to find an absolutely retarded post and then make it more retarded. Congrats.
