What a sweet boy. I'm sorry you have to make that choice. I hope his last two days are full of lots of love, cuddles, belly rubs, "you are such a good boy", and his favorite foods(if he is able to really eat)

New dog, just arrived yesterday evening: Border Collie who was covered in stickers and has one eye injured some time ago in a fight with a raccoon. He started his life being chained to a metal barrel, escaped to a farm, and now we've rescued him.

You couldn't see his tail - it was solid stickers (and he was covered in stickers and some mats). He had never been in a store (Tractor Supply) or had a bath in his life (also at Tractor Supply). He did pretty good for an old farm dog.

He's 10 (estimate), so we'll spoil him for the rest of his life.

We still have a lot of stickers to brush out, but he looks much better.

eta: He's very smart. He's been an outside dog, but you would think he's been using dog beds all his life. He goes to the door to be let in and out. My SO brushed him very gently for several hours and he was just kicking back and enjoying it.

Taquito wasn't excited about Watson's hit because he's as old as FSU's coach

We used to have a dog that if you said 'let me take your picture' he would sit up and look all regal like. I have pictures somewhere in my house. Need to find them.

Got a good friend that wants to give me a Boykin. Have a cross breed Boykin/Lab. I keep telling the wife he needs a friend. Got many acs for them to run, pond too! We kind of old people. My dog now has stayed at my side and licked me till I woke up after passing out a few times.

Living in the country, one has to put up with crap like this.

So, after always having two dogs and the last couple years we been down to one, the wife keeps saying NO. But this will happen.

Was Missy , God rest her. A sweet heart of a dog.

My old man Oscar, turned 13 on Christmas. His back legs are going out so we're just enjoying as much time as possible with him

Bella is the brat, mini Yorkie. But she's sweet and does well with the other dogs

We just adopted 7 year old Diesel the Great Dane. It's amazing how small he makes Oscar look

7 years old Great Dane? Hope it lives a few more years. Their life span is around 7 years. My daughter, a Vet had a couple. One of the most lay back dogs ever.

My daughters other pup. Grand champ pup.

Indeed, got 2 geriatric old men now. He's still very much active and playful so we're hoping to get some bonus time out of him.

I'm looking at buying an American Bulldog. What are your thoughts about them?
