I swore I would never go again after the last trip but got free tickets after a detailed letter to their executive offices last year so that cut the price in half.

Luckily, my wife likes to go on the rides with the younger two and the older two go off on their own so I am happy at three of the parks as they all have a bar area where you can drink and shoot the bull with other dads hiding out. Magic Kingdom badly needs a bar or lounge on site as I must bring a plastic flask of Blanton's there to sip.

The sad part is after getting better for years they have really dumbed down the quality of restaurants and their beer and liquor selection in the parks. Political correctness has also taken the fun out of some of the restaurants on site.

In any event, that one week is "credits" i play the rest of the year when I want to take a weekend to Vegas with friends or something without getting a stare.

How do you that actually go survive Disney? No need for the "tough guy" or fake elite to exclaim they would never go.

You can go to a local bar and drink with dads hiding out.

What a dumbass thread

MK is the only park/area of Disney that doesn’t serve alcohol except for the the little restaurants (plaza, crystal palace). Epcot would be a much better place if you were looking to do that stuff

The place is remarkably well done, IMO. Honestly, most of the misery seems to stem from how your family handles it!

If you can’t enjoy Disney world then you’re a miserable frick.

How much time, on average, would you say you spend with other men?

Look at this guy. Needs to stay drunk on a family vacation.

If you can’t enjoy your wife and kids without having alcohol involved then I think you have a bigger problem than going to Disney.

Honestly they’re most likely better off without you.

If you're just looking to drink maybe take the family to Tigerland.

I'm a DVC member and a annual passholder, so I go to Disney a lot.

I can say with 100% certainty that there are no bars in the parks with dads shooting the shite while they hideout.

I can understand not liking certain aspects of Disney World, but any guy that goes and sounds as miserable as the OP is trying entirely to hard to be a manly man. Don't worry, no one will think less of you for enjoying some things in Disney.
