I was hesitant to turn on their game because of the whistlers. Fortunately Duke had already taken the lead by the time I started watching, so they had gone silent.

Doesn't this just reinforce what we have been saying all along Cheer? Vandy should be destroying their competition. Duke, a team that barely made the tournament, just put an arse whooping on them last night. Parity in baseball is at an all time high. And LSU plays in the SEC West where there are 5 super regional teams

Duke didn't even make a regional for 55 years. Now they've made the Supers 2 years in a row, and are one win away from Omaha. That says it all.
And there's still no active coach with multiple national championships. Rant favorites Schlossnagle and Sully bowed out quietly in the regionals this year. It really is a different era.

If Vandy loses this series and misses Omaha yet again with possibly one of their best rosters ever; I’m curious to see what all the fire Mainieri and hire Corbin fans will have to say now.

Not counting this year, Corbin has been at Vandy for 16 years, with 3 appearances in Omaha, 1 national title, and 1 runner-up finish. Compare that to CPM, who has 5 CWS appearances in 12 years, also with a national title and a runner-up. You think the Rant hates CPM, give us Corbin with those results and watch the fireworks.

Good thinking on ESPN's part, then. We're not alone in the whistler hate, I'm sure a good number of Vandy fans don't like it either. Although when we played them in Hoover and one of the whistlers looked like he was about to be thrown out, a Vandy fan behind me got really loud to make a point. So I guess it's a mixed bag.

Yeah, plenty of fanbases have someone like that. For example, we have K-Lady and Guillot. Although they're easier to tune out while watching a game than the whistlers.

Vandy can’t recruit the talent LSU can. Not taking away from CPM’s results, but the coaches aren’t playing with the same deck of cards.
