The legacy of being third to Kobe all time

I’ll never forget that game. He made it clear very early that he wasn’t to be stopped.
It obviously wasn’t the best performance ever, but that’s got to be pretty close to what peak basketball looks like as far as the type of player you want and the difficulty of shots he was making and dominance at the rim.

Pshh, this game obviously never happened. Everyone knows Lebron is not clutch and has never been clutch.

I love bill Simmons and all but the way he talks about some of the big Boston losses/close calls is so annoying.
Like comon man, one of those teams didn’t win you championship number 8 thousand your heart must be shattered waiting for the next parade that’s going to take place in 14 minutes.

He is second. For now. That could easily drop down to three four or five if he keeps up his off court antics. We need to see SOME semblance of success in the big bad west or else his east dominance will be discounted even more than it already is.
One superstar has beaten the Warriors in the Finals

and kawhi is probably gonna beat them too. but as humans we don’t have to see black and white. We can see that both times GOAT was nowhere near the team you think about when you think about peak golden state. So you rate those finals wins with that in mind. If years played is the most important stat then Kareem is GOAT. lebron is really hurt his legacy these last few years.
1-8 v GOAT in the finals.
Can’t win but 50, in the east the last two years.
Then the debacle last year with the lakers.
Not a good look at all.

People should go back and watch some super young Lebron videos. I don’t think basketball can get more exciting and I truly don’t think people remember what kind of shite he was doing.
The last minute of his first 40 point game his rookie year was INSANE. He used to make Westbrook look slow.
LINK for anyone interested
Last minute starts around 2:45.
He had 41/6/13

Lebron James is a ****.

It’s a testament to his humility that it wasn’t until years later that he himself knew he was the greatest of all time.

Dirk’s seasons 17-21 dropped him from top 15 all time to about 35th because we’re big picture, right?

You’re a more generous person than I am, boom, to rank him that high. I rank him around 3-5 range because I think Larry Bird’s the 2nd greatest player in the history of the game (could sub Kobe in there as well). After Jordan, I don’t think ANYBODY PLAYED the GAME better, with more vision, and with more confidence in the clutch than the Legend. He was a maestro, a virtuoso, he played the game like Wagner conducted an opera, it was beautiful and performed at the highest level. One of the great leaders in sports history as well.

The video in OP has LeBron being guarded by Greg Stiemsma on multiple possessions, so let’s not get too carried away.

You mean like the play where Lebron spins and breaks Ray Allen’s ankles only to have a 6’11” 260 pound guy in his face that he had to then knock down a shot over?
Michael Jordan wouldn’t know anything about that would he? Hell he probably gets free throws for illegal defense on that one.
