The NBA uses the term owner all the time, in bios, articles etc on their own website.

Here’s MJ...owner of the bobcats.

The only thing dumber than the pretend black dude who can't use the term owner while referencing the owner of a franchise is the white dude who agrees with the pretend black dude's line of thinking.

Did you click the link? That link was from NBA.com. That wasn’t Charlotte’s page.

The NBA controls and is responsible for the content on NBA.com. What you’re saying isn’t true.

I am a black guy. You dont call the owner, owner. You call them by their name. Or if youre not that informal, call them boss.

If someone wants to insinuate that nba players are owned and are property of the owners, then by all means I would jump on them witb the quickness. I just don't see that being the case though.

the "points" of a history book?

um?

Here's the point TH03 made:

quote:

I'm fully aware of slavery.

Literally no one playing in the NBA was a slave or had parents or grandparents who were.

No one is saying team owners own the players. That would be ridiculous. These players are paid multi millions per year. They are in no way slaves or anyone's property.

This is retarded.

Here's the strawman you included because no one in their right mind would ever argue TH03's point unless they're completely disingenuous:

quote:

when Jim Crow end?

reread your history

quote:

you think slavery ended with the 13th amendment? read up on Jim Crow dude.

once you get educated. return to thread and apologize for being dumb

Please be a smart person please and take your L, you're embarrassing yourself with this nonsense

likely not. but it's a good idea to move away from that direction considering the league demographics. just my opinion

Are you one of those random black dudes?

Because if so, you don't count. Mr.Perfect gets kinda choosy with his black dudes, you see.

You were factually incorrect when you stated (multiple times) that the NBA does not use the term “owner”. It’s used all throughout their own website.

As far as I can tell, I don’t think there is much that is truthful that you’ve said in this thread.

Meaning you think blacks simply can't handle the concept of a team owner being referred to as an owner.

How soft do you think blacks are? Jesus Christ

"We refer to the owners of our teams as Governors; each team is represented on our Board of Governors," said the NBA in a statement to TMZ.

Congrats on be able to read TMZ.com.

Now, use that ability to read the numerous places on NBA.com where the term owner is used.

Take your time. We’ll wait.

no one ever said they couldn't, but should they have to???? When there are other equally descriptive titles that can be used

There is nothing wrong with the existing term.
