Fortnite Help for my son

My boys are constantly fighting over Fortnite and I want to get another console for them to play on. I don’t want to spend the money on another PS4. Is there another option for me to throw in his room?

but if you want a real answer, sic is right, you can play it on a tablet, phone, pc, switch, etc. I do not know if that game is cross platform though.

Pretty much every console is $299 new now. You can get Xbox One S digital for $249. Or you can go the refurbished route through Gamestop.

I saw an XBox one at Walmart for $200. Could they play together if the other console is a PS4? I’ve also got another NVidia shield downstairs that is on the main tv and he can play it on that as well. That was also $200.

iPad, Switch, all that other stuff is inferior. They’ll just end up fighting over who gets to play on PS4. Best advice - get a used PS4 and make them pay for it with birthday/Christmas money.

PS4 and Xbox are all cross platform now, so they will be able to play together as long as they set up separate Epic accounts

Fortnite is cross platform on all devices so they can play.
My kids play with other kids on PS4, XBOX, PC, and Mobile.
A used PS4 or XBox is probably your best bet. Look around on Facebook marketplace.
Xbox 1 at Walmart for $200 sounds like a good option as well.

This is an excellent point...
While Fortnite is "Free to Play" we all know that it is not Free.... hahaha. Paying for V-bucks on 2 accounts can get a little pricey.
Try to stick to the battle pass for $10 every season and that gives them the chance to earn some skins and rewards if they just play and do the challenges.

last year i got a ps4, 2 controllers, a controller charging station, and like 8 games for $120
