Dollar grass? This is one of several types of weeds that have taken over my yard.

Yep. Dollar weed. Alot of stuff will kill it. Your lawn kind of looks unhealthy though. I would start btly fertilizing and raising your mower so your grass can overtake some of it.

Looks like my lawn.
This will kill the dollar weed and other broad leaf weeds:
I fertilize and put lime down. I have a lot of pine trees so my soil is acidic and St. Augustine does not like acidic soils. With the combination of the Roundup for lawns, fertilizer, and lime the St. Aug takes over by mid-June.

Kill the dollar weed first, then fertilize. You don't want to fertilze dollar weed.

I hit with this stuff
Then this stuff because that’s what I already had.
My lawn has admittedly been neglected the past year or so

Dollarweed.
Recommendations for control by the LSU AgCenter
If you are in southern LA I’d suggest MSMTurf b/c it’s safe to use with these high temps hitting the low 90s. These other herbicides can damage your lawn grass at temps in the mid 80s/90s. You can expect a little yellowing of the lawn grass with MSM Turf but it will recover.

quote:
Dollarweed — creeping perennial broadleaf weed. Petiole in the center of leaf, “umbrella like”. Prefers moist soil and thin turfgrass. Control options: MSM Turf or Repeated applications of Weed Free Zone, Weed B Gon, Atrazine, weed & feed with atrazine. Improved control by tank-mixing atrazine + Weed Free Zone or Weed B Gon (St. Aug, centipede, zoysia) - make applications from November to April.

FYI that is a weed preventer. Good for for preventing new weed germination, but won’t do anything for existing weeds.

That is northern lights, cannabis indica.

The main one is Dollar Weed. The smaller lighter ones that look similar could be dichondra. Atrazine is great on dollar weed
