Only problem, is that if ump isn't giving anything off the corners, she could struggle. But umps are horrible in every sports(officials also), so she will get shite 5 inches off the plate.

Heavy as hell is what you want. That way if she hits them, the ball just deflects off to one side.

WTF do y'all think is happening to the cinder blocks if she hits them?
Worst case scenario is the cinder blocks fall over towards the catcher. In which case, it wouldn't be that hard for the catcher to move
