but but but his OM record

I don't follow. Because an "anonymous opposing coach" speculated he thinks O would have done well in Tennessee in 2009, his time at Ole Miss is wiped clean? Just trying to understand what point you're trying to make here.

The stuff about our defense not being great is pretty hilarious IMHO. Seems Aranda may be a victim of his own success at times.

Which is an incredible feat given the record of Tennessee before that and the lack of instate talent

which means we are good, not great.

No one could watch the last couple defenses and think we compare to any of the great Tiger defenses of the past.

Not sure how you don’t get this. It’s literally the exact opposite of Cam and Les calling plays that didn’t fit our QB’s style of play. It’s one of Ensminger’s strengths. He doesn’t try to make the player fit the offense (i.e. square peg, round hole), he builds the play calling around the skill set of the QB.

Steve definitely knew that with a QB who could run, going max protect was the best way to get him in space.

LSU doesn't always do a good job evaluating

I feel like this isn't mentioned enough as one of our main problems over the last 6-7 years. We have evaluated wrs, dbs, lbs, and rbs extremely well over this time period, but our oline and dline evaluation has suffered tremendously. Everyone always talks about our high recruiting ranking, but it hasn't translated on the field in a long time. I think it has to be due to our evaluation in the trenches.

Hopefully this is the year it all finally comes together on the field and the recruiting cycle.

Yet every offseason, the rant is flooded with "greatest defense ever talk"

They don't remember all those years we finished in the Top 5 defensively, you know, when we had more than 2 decent D linemen

so youre dismissing the time he was actually allowed to run a program in favor of some made up situation where he has been Tennessee's coach since Kiffen left?

thats not telling at all.

Poor Rickdaddy. Still crying over shite from over a decade ago knowing it doesn't matter anymore as he watches his world crumble around him.

How bout the 2020 recruiting class R-Daddy? Not too bad huh? And that is despite what happened at Ole Miss over 12 years ago.

I know it is disappointing to you and things couldn't be any worse right now but IT IS WHAT IT IS.

You are going to have to learn to live with it. Good luck brother. You know I love you and I am always here for support. Don't hit rock bottom before reaching out - WE CARE!!!

If your family has been in La. a few generations you probaly have Cajun blood , that being said cajuns dont seem to be the laid back friendly folk they once where , you can see that on the rant , a bunch of rednecks who think they know every thing ! The Cajuns enjoyed a happy busy social life in the back yard and didnt let other things bother them !

Actually, that is how much the rant has changed. I think everyone that knew anything is long gone.

The LSU scheduling thread is a perfect example. LSU was set to host Arizona State in 2005 when Katrina hit. LSU went to Sun Devil stadium to play the game. AZ St was to come to LSU the next season and reneged.

That thread is 10 posts deep and not one mention of that.

This board and the posters has gone to shite. It will continue to do so.

You will have posters like me who entertain the idiots and the people who have been around that don't.

The idiots will think they RULE LSU and the LSU message boards and people will laugh at them knowing the "others" and written history exists to prove otherwise.

“ this is true”

It’s also true that the defense has carried way more water for LSU the last three years in comparison to what the offense has done.
