So her family was only important if they're in danger?

The “family” angle has been done to death. If a character justify his/her action with “I did for our family” or “because we’re family”, it sounds noble and get approval from the audience. For once I’d like to hear a character say “I did it because I felt like it”.

Cersei told the nun lady that everything she did was because it felt good. Her father was the one who claimed to do everything for the family.

Her sister is a queen, one brother is a King, the other is thousands of miles from any sort of danger or politics surrounded by people who adore him. Her family is the safest in Westeros. Plus it’s not like she can’t ever return to Westeros.

Her siblings are all safe and secure, she has no interest in being someone’s wife,

That locked her up some Subaru sponsorship money for a sequel.

Westeros Lore bothers me.
Obviously the east is the more advanced location. The cities are older, the people seem to have better tech and clothing.
Yet westeros is the prize.

Thousands and thousands of years westeros has been settled.
Yet no one has circumnavigate the globe?

They had that grand symbolic scene of her riding off on a pale horse at the end of last week and turns out she just rode it around the block.

Game of Thrones is based largely on the War of the Roses. The first known circumnavigation of our globe was completed in 1522.

Is it really that far fetched?
