Last time I saw an LSU squad in Fred’s was Tommy Hodson, Captain Caveman and crew the Thursday night before they went to Tuscaloosa and beat Bear Bryant. Must be a good sign.

Tommy Hodson never played against a Bear Bryant coached Alabama.

Anytime LSU wins the first two game of a home series they go to Freds that night after game 2 and get shite faced. Which means it's no surprise they lost game 3 yesterday.

That's a hell of an accomplishment because Bear Bryant died in 1983.

The days of the Wickershams, Hodsons, Hazard Bros, Dale's ballers, Skip's guys,etc..schlossed in a Murphy's, Fred's, SI,,etc..at 2 AM Saturday morning, then winning a heavyweight 12:30 ABC tv tilt just hours later..though legendary..is not advised in today's day and age.
Baseball due to it's game makeup allows for slumpbusting a tad more, but for Hoops and Football physicality, no fuego.
And for every legendary effort in winning I saw in my time at LSU, where the team or key personnel were trashed just hours before a big game. I also saw a few where they got destroyed, or were life and death vs much lesser foes, and only students in the bars the night before knew the true reason why.
Jeff Wickersham's alcohol metabolization is a God given gift, and shouldn't be attempted by just any mere mortal QB.
