#44 did fix a lot in regards to getting healthcare for all. It's more affordable and accessible to more people now

I am sorry but you must be on crack.

Yes O made health care easier to get for all (preexisting conditions and care till you are 27) but it is no more affordable or accessible to more people unless you are on the dole and getting Medicaid or have an employer that pays most of your insurance.

I cringe the thought of having a family now knowing that health care for family coverage will run me almost 1,500 a month and that is for just a premium and not the deductibles and copays when you actually need to use it.

It’s not a luxury.

It IS a commodity, however. Much like food and water. You don’t have an inherent right to those, either. You pay for them.

unless you can't and have federal assistance to buy food and water

if healthcare is a commodity (and not a luxury), then why are there several different levels of coverage for insurance?

because those who can pay more get better coverage.

Again, healthcare in America is a luxury.

The frick are you talking about?

Can you find a middle class family that makes over $60K/year that used their healthcare between 2010-present that hasn't ultimately paid more than triple their previous out of pocket totals they had before the ACA?

They don't exist.

My family went from $400/mnt premiums with $1,000 deductible and $2,500 max out of pocket pre-ACA, to $500/mnt premiums (eventually going up to $600/mnt at present) with $3,500 deductible and $10,000 max out of pocket.

EVERYONE went through this.

"Fixing healthcare" does not mean "Everyone who had insurance already is now paying 2-3x more so that everyone who didn't have it before can now have it for cheap... or even free."

You're either remarkably ignorant, or you were one of the people who benefited at the great expense of others, and you consider this somehow a good solution. Which is still ignorant.

What would been a better solution would be to cover anyone who wants insurance with Medicaid. There was already a system setup. Doctors approved. Computer systems in place, etc. But no, they have to force everyone into whatever plan\policy they dictate.

Then everyone who has private insurance keeps it the way they have it or want it. They could have changed the rules for Medicaid to allow the preexisting and other "benefits" of Obamacare without negatively effecting private insurance.
