If you've got that to spend, id go with a 77" LG C8 OLED. You can find them for $3999 right now. If you love to game, then the newer version has just released in the C9 with HDMI 2.1. However, current hardware on the market cannot take advantage of it at this time, but this would be more future proof once the new XBOX and PS5 release. You would limit yourself to a 65" in this case given the budget. Authorized dealers have them around $3500 but they can be had through other parties for $2800. The 77" version is still around $6500-7000.

At 12' back, would 77" be too much? That's about the distance from my couch in the living area and I have a 62", looking to upgrade to a 65"-70" range later.

But I don't think I could fathom a 77" from that distance. May be one of those have to actually do it to see it.

If you can get a 77c8 for 4K I’d go with this all day.

That or Sony 75 z9 or 77a1
