A wrestling thread actually made the MSB... there's 1 on him there

TMZ report

Conrad Thompson says the Ric Flair situation "is not as grave or serious" as TMZ makes it out, and says that this was a planned procedure that Ric Flair wanted to have before Las Vegas.

As I said on the MSB, thank god
I know he isn’t gonna live forever but I’m just not prepared for the loss of Naitch

The idea of his daughter marrying a Mexican is too much for him to take

AEW is apparently going to a "competition based" system that will involve statistics and analytics for a "league"... instead of "storyline based" like WWE
I'm interested to see what that means... is AEW going to start a real "fantasy wrestling league" (like fantasy football/basketball/baseball)
Ehh this could either go very well or horrible.
It'll make the wrestlers work harder and in theory drive viewership up if they do it right. But WWE already does this by analyzing rating changes per segment. I'm not sure how AEW's version will be much different.

This is so dumb. It's a staged fight, its not real, so there is no point to this
People watch wrestling for the drama and storylines. Yes seeing two wrestlers do cool things in the ring is fun but this is why I dont watch the PPV pre-shows with a pre show panel of talking heads talking about who is going to win and such. It's a staged fight! Stats and analytics shouldnt matter

Has nothing to do with ratings. Tony Khan runs a sports analytics firm. He works with a bunch of baseball teams and of course the Jags. He said UFC is already doing something similar. I think it will be like punches thrown vs connected in boxing. Basically look at all the analytics baseball uses and imagine that concept in wrestling.

meanwhile... breaking news for Sunday's WWE Money in the Bank PPV...
the Goddess Alexa Bliss has apparently been removed from the women's MitB ladder match due to not being medically cleared to compete
wonder if that spot will now go to Nikki Cross after what happened earlier this week on Raw

Pretty sure Nikki will be in since they already opened that door this week

I am excited for AEW and worse case scenario it puts WWE back on its heels and forces it to get better.

Cool. Been search but that is always left out of the articles. They all want to state that wrestling hasnt been on tnt since the last nitro episode back in early 2000s but they never say when that streak will come to an end exactly. I'm excited, I grew up a big wrestling fan during those Monday night war days and I'm looking forward to some actually mainstream competition for WWE.

Worth every penny. WWE network is a phenomenal deal, even if you aren't a huge fan of the current product.

Except they dub over and censor all the WCW and ECW stuff.

It's worked for ROH all these years.

Sounds like AEW isn't for you. They've hit all the SJW talking points in the months prior.
Inclusivity (gays and transgender), equal pay for women, healthcare for all(but not really), etc...
quote:Really? And I didn't like the direction WWE was going with all the SJW stuff. This is terrible. They're trying to make WWE look like, well, me.
Their second show is basically an anti gun rally.
