Consider buying season tickets for UT. May cost less than LSU game ticket.

Not sure if this will work, but it may be worth it for some of yall if it does. UT ticket office site has an option where you can place a $200 deposit (not sure if refundable but I'm sure you can find out) and will be given the option to buy season tickets in June. Now, I'm not sure what will be available, but if tier 5 (upper deck) tickets are, they are only $200, which is $50 less than the cheapest on the ticket sites right now for the LSU game alone. Add in another $50 for fees on those ticket sites, and you could have UT season tickets, including the LSU game, for $100 less (or more) per LSU game ticket, and possibly sell the rest of the tickets and gain some or all of what you paid back.
I just bought tier 5 tickets from a friend for $200, so it's possible that more are available. If anyone cares to find out if that $200 deposit is refundable, this may be a good option for many of you who can't afford the price that tickets are going for on the ticket sites.
Hope this helps and if anyone does this, let everyone know how it goes.

I sent the UT ticket office an email to see if the deposit was refundable. Will post when I hear back.

So I put down a deposit for the “priority” deadline in March. I can log-in and see what tickets are available to pick and I pick next week.
There are very few Tier 5 tickets remaining and I expect the rest will be gone before I select. However, there are plenty of tier 4’s available including in the LSU visitor sections (lower rows) that are $480 for the season. Still can easily save on the LSU game by selling the rest since tickets in these sections are roughly $350 each solely for our game.

The 200 is refundable. I am picking my tickets next week but have already seen the map. Only singles remain in the uppers by the visitors that are 265 for the whole season. Lots of tickets in sec 18 in the lower north end zone under the LSU band. Good seats here at 650 ea for whole season

Yeah Im either going to pick in 124-126 for $480 or those in Section 18 for $650. Haven't decided yet and just hope to get some of my money back on selling the others to make it worth it.
Also when do you pick? I'm at 3:25 on 5/23

That is wild because I am 3:20 on 5/23 so I am the pick right before you. Hope I don’t take your tickets )

A friend's son has been doing this for yrs....he buys the 4 major bowls' tickets every yr and when LSU plays, he has good seats. Otherwise, he sells them each yr and has been doing this so long he is no longer using his own money he is that far ahead .

Lots of Houston and Austin based Tigers have been doing this for the last couple of months, as soon as it became apparent that single game tickets were astronomically priced.
It makes a lot of sense, especially since there are a couple of other games on the UT schedule that you could potentially sell for a profit, and maybe, just maybe see the LSU game essentially for free.
Personally I’m still hoping against hope to get a pair thru TAF, though it’s a long shot.

Wish I read this before buying tickets today. I'll be rowdy up in 216 with 2 fellow Tigers
