Yeh I always blamed the archaic offense for playing down to our opponent. Teams would put 8-9 in the box and have some success bottling us up but in the end we would usually over power them and win...just not impressively. I thought that style limited development for our younger players and forced us to play our starters more snaps than necessary.
Yeh I don’t get trashing our wins. The narrative since O took over is “I don’t count wins vs ranked teams if they aren’t ranked in the final poll”.

No I was referring to how the O haters have downplayed our sec wins under O by saying the SEC was down. It happened in 2016. Then we beat Auburn in 2017 and that win was shite on bc Auburn ended up losing 4-5 games. Of course it happened with Miami also. I never heard wins vs top 25 teams shite on under Miles. Newsflash some good teams don’t recover after a loss...see LSU 2015 when we were 2nd or 3rd prior to Bama then out of the top 25 2 weeks later.

It’s complete BS. I asked a few that claim wins against ranked opponents don’t count if they aren’t ranked in the final poll if they have adjusted CLM w/l record vs ranked teams and I’ve never been answered

All wins count no matter when they happen, but the value of the win goes up higher when the team we beat finishes ranked.
The LSU football program has basically plateaued since 2012. I don’t understand why some seem not to be able to understand the frustration caused by that 35 games after a coaching change, but each to our own.

So 20 years from now when people check our record vs ranked teams all the wins vs a team that wasn’t ranked when we played them but finished the season ranked 24th for example will be more valuable than our wins vs top 10 teams that finish unranked?
