He doesn't want it right now.

So LSU fans can kick him out of bed when they don’t go undefeated next year

Just saying, isn't this what were bitching about right now...former players as coaches.

Ryan has some spirit that this team desperately needs, but why not go and find an actual hitting coach.

How about you think of some one who would be a realistic possibility. Theriot as a volunteer assistant or replace Dunn or Cain?

Just asking - what makes you think he would be a good hitting coach?

How about we stop hiring former players and hire a proven hitting coach? Great players don’t make great coaches.

I dont know what qualifies him to be hitting coach, but if we're going to have former players involved with the program at such high levels of involvement, Theriot is exactly the kind of former player I want.

Not the best hitter in his family. I will take older brother Wes all day long.

He’s a great instructor, understands hitting and all the nuances, he doesn’t believe in the craze of launch angles and always hitting for bombs, he believes in having a plan and understanding the situation.. all of that is great but I see no chance of him moving over to that type of position. He enjoys what he’s done no by my interactions with him and to be honest, doesn’t like to leave town
