that have improved batting averages in, I hate to say it, softball? I wonder if we are still 10 years behind and not taking advantage of things that are available now?

He doesn't know. He just wanted to start a thread to bitch like the rest of the idiots. At least he didn't start another fire CPM thread I guess.

I'm hoping it's how we can use slap hitting in baseball. I'm really hoping that's it.

Well the obvious reply to that question is whatever they are using sure isn’t working

They have access to any tech available if they want it.

You still need someone that knows how to use the technology, how to interpret the data, and how to translate into something usable for the coaches.

And you need coaches willing and able to use it with the players.

Somewhere in that chain of events there is a breakdown for LSU.

There is technology and technique beyond getting big? Call Ochinko immediately.

Didn’t they recently change the bats and balls in softball to allow for more offense?

I think they need to pop the end cap off of the baseball bat and shove tennis balls down the barrel. Always worked for me playing home run derby growing up.

Yes, shaving and compressing the bats. That’s the latest and greatest. Won’t help our lefties not reach for every ball a leftie pitcher throws on the outside corner.

Maybe we can bring back Jim Schwanke to get back to the offensive glory days.

I didn’t see “gut instinct” in this chain.
