Yeah you haven't put much thought into this.
Cajun fans love Robe and what hes done in building the program into a winner but even they're getting restless with him. The refusal to make changes and different hires during subpar seasons have become an annoyance (sound familiar?) And he recently made some comments along the lines of "I dont recruit. That's what my assistants are for."

uLL consistently beaten by conference mate Coastal Carolina. Any former LSU players pro coaches?

He should be on the hot seat to be out at ULL. It's nice what has been built over time there, but he certainly hasn't been great lately. It's the same situation as Cador was at Southern. Those administrators get scared to move on bc they "owe" those guys the opportunity to go out on their terms even though they aren't best for the program anymore.

I don’t know if that’s true, I haven’t heard much of it if it is. The last 2 years have been hampered by a injuries, at pitcher in particular. Gunner Lege missed last season and much of this season due to medical concerns, most unrelated to baseball. He was a piece they were counting on.
ULL doesn’t have the quality depth LSU does and likely never will. That means injuries will hit harder there, typically, than at LSU caliber schools. Most Cajun baseball fans understand that. Expectations aren’t as high as LSU, despite what some may bluster on about.
