Is there a link to this? I was there that morning. As I seem to recall LSU played very well early on. Texas managed a helmut to ankle impact on Marcus Randel's ankle (out of bounds no penalty called) which effected his passing accuracy & his rushing attack for the remainder of the game. The Randle hit occurred in the mid second quarter. Randle accounted up until the hit for 80% of the Tigers rushing assault which accounted for the huge LSU plays of the first two quarters.

No one could stop that Freak Roy Williams.

LSU could have had Tom Brady as QB that day and wasn't going to win.

This is all I remember from this game...that and how little sleep I got from the night before. That is WAAAAAY too early for a game on New Year's Day!

Yep. LSU's defensive backfield was no match for him. Thought for sure he'd be a huge star in the NFL after that game, but he never quite blew up like that.

I was there right behind Bevo's b-hole. Watched as he almost hooked a girl trying to take a picture with him when the handlers got a little lax on their...handling... Also, got a closeup view of his previous meals.

I was in a downtown Dallas Hotel with a awesome connecting restaurant. My flight over was rough and I mean violent. The hotel roared and partied all night I got little sleep.

He also had one run of 70 plus yards that accounted for almost all of his rushing that day.

You must have been pretty hungover to think that Randle would have made a difference in that game.

The Texas guy hit Marcus after he ran out of bounds and Randel got up limping. He did zero after that.

True story. I went to the game with a friend. I remember the secondary was so decimated and destroyed that Michael Clayton was playing safety. I was half-joking with my friend saying after the game, "You know, if we can just get a good safety, we can compete for the national championship."

Next season, LaRon Landry. Championship.

We got there like 2 hours early because we didn't want to get stuck parking in the hood. It was fricking miserable. Wind was blowing like 20-30 MPH and we were exposed in the upper deck on the LSU side. And it was cold. It got nicer after the game began but the pre-game was brutal.

i was there. corner EZ opposite where players came out

kickoff was like 10 AM. terrible.

roy williams destroyed us. it looked worse than final score.

we partied at THE BONE in deep ellum night before.

oh and those old cotton bowl seats were atrocious. my knees were all up into chairback in front. zero leg room. and the seats were like 10 yards behind the damn EZ. just a garbage setup in that old stadium. we were close to BEVO

The trainer gave him an IV at half....

In the wrong arm. He couldn't throw for crap afterwards.

I was there, and if I recall correctly, there was still frost on the metal seats at game time. Miserable experience all around. I hope we trounce them this year.

Lost to a more talented team. On the way out some Tiger fan said we need a quarterback and another dude told him we got 2 comin' next year.
