Barack" wave my magic wand" Obama.

It's laughable that you want to give any credit to that fraud.

The mayor did mention several times during his campaign that he thought there were too many festivals.

Can we talk about this for a minute?

What the hell does this mean?

So, there are too many chances for people to have fun, listen to good music, support local vendors, and raise money for local groups?

Is the new mayor Southern Baptist or First Baptist?

Why does a thread about a stupid local bureaucrat turn into multiple pages about a former president?

I don't like Obama either, but GTFO with this tread turning into that.

This had nothing to do with the left or right, just some comedy fodder from the local area.

To be honest, the misogynistic, xenophobic, racist, etc... garbage that the left is always whining about is even more ridiculous.

I doubt he taking in consideration that what we see today started under Obama during "The Great Recession" ... so yes in a way I guess I do doubt it... not the numbers but what he's trying to imply

How do these people keep getting in office? By these people, I mean clear hood or trailer trash. It's beyond ridiculous.

Two words, blind loyalty. It's amazing how people would rather have morons working for them than actually getting the best person for the position.

Has to be a dream, every place in Louisiana sucks. Some more than others.

I think he was trying to appeal to the voting base that thought the City was investing too much money in festivals “every weekend” (this is how it was described in a debate).

Reading between the lines, it appears the complaints were coming from a constituency that did not feel the festivals (there are really only two per year) were catered towards their likes.

I actually played the Indie Stage of that festival last year or year before (can't remember). There were thousands of people walking the streets and tons of vendors. It sounds like I got in under the wire for the good festival. I can't believe Alec fricked this incredibly popular festival up

Alexandria’s mayor’s comments... why am I not surprised
KALB spoke with Alexandria Mayor Jeff Hall Monday during his State of the City update. About the situation, Hall said, “Everything is speculative…. We (he and Jennings) had a phone call conversation, and we're talking."
quote:

Hall called Jennings “the most quality individual,” and attributed the situation to the nature of social media.
quote:

“A lot of things happen in a lot of ways to not validate things as it relates to the nature of the technological realities there,” Hall said. “I hired an individual with a heart and the direction that understands where I'm going and where this team is going. And the team and where we're going is not changed. We're going to work together. We're going to work with the team that we have, and we're going to work with dignity and respect."
quote:

"Any other speculations like that (Jennings), I will not speculate on that. I do know the character of the leader that put this program on for us. Coming in within five months...and doing all that we've done since we've been here, especially on the public relation and entertainment side of it, I think we've done an excellent job."

I’m really not surprised. The old adage of if ain’t broke, don’t fix it is too hard for some people to understand I guess.
