For what the flag represents...a state clinging to the Confederacy. There is no other reason to maintain it.

And there it is. Did the flag really bother you until it WAS told to bother you?

It's not up to the left. It's up to the state.

Pathetic thing is that I'm not sure they'd vote to replace it.

It's never made sense to me unless we were flying the confederate flag, and that ended 30 years before this flag was flown.

Accept that you refuse to recognize the issue here.

If they change their flag, we might forget how poor and useless Mississippi is—I MEAN HISTORY. We might forget history.

the Bonnie Blue.

The Bonnie Blue Flag was an unofficial banner of the Confederate States of America at the start of the American Civil War in 1861.

Never would fly...

If the confederate legacy bothers you, you might want to move out of the South.

They shouldn't. It's been the flag since 1894.

My mother lives in Mississippi. I have worked in and paid taxes in Mississippi for some time.

It matters to me for the same reasons it doesn't matter to you.

What you take pride in never really existed.

You aren’t even from Mississippi and you don’t live there, so why does it matter to you?

I know this isn't directed at me, but I think it would be cool for Mississippi to have a flag that is more directly related to the state specifically rather than an expired regional government. The Magnolia and Bonnie Blue are more specific to the state.

I don't have a problem with the battle flag, but when I see it I don't think it's unique to Mississippi.

That's not fair for me to say. The war definitely existed and many people died for nothing except regression.

I’m not sure that refraining from complaining about what other states vote for is a standard that PT baws are comfortable implementing.

Hopefully never...

If you walk outside and immediately get triggered about a piece of cloth flying around then I am sorry for you as a person.

GO on and keep living your life and the flag has zero impact on anyone in this state is what I would say to people that are worried about this
