Saints - #1
Previous rank: No. 2
The Saints ... are ... the ... top ... team ... in ... the ... league. Let that sink in, because it ain't changin'. Well, for now. I'm aware that New Orleans didn't own a first-round pick, but that didn't matter. Since the last time out for these Power Rankings, New Orleans added tight end Jared Cook, whom the Patriots reportedly wanted to "replace" Gronk. All of the newly minted rookies in the NFL represent a collective unknown; meanwhile, this New Orleans roster is top-shelf. By the way, the Saints still produced a quality draft haul despite the lack of picks, starting with the real McCoy at center.

Will Lil' Jordan get a ring?

The burn from last season is slowly leaving my body. I'll never be completely 100% over it. However, with that said I'm freaking excited about this coming year

I am not trying to nit-pick, but why does his opening seem like he is going to say the Browns instead of the Saints. The Saints had a very good/deep roster last season. They lost very few difference makers and at least replaced the ones they lost with adequate/comparable talent; while adding improvements to NT and TE.
I love the roster, but I am a little concerned with 3-tech. With Rankins is out for the foreseeable future and who knows what is going to happen with David Onyemata. I know we picked up Mario Edwards, but who else is playing the position.

Fantastic....
Think we can win in week one for a change this season?

Who cares. We might suck next year for all we know. Players age and their level of play changes from year to year. Remember 2014?

At first, I was hoping he would get a nickname. Lil'Jordan is starting to grow on me though.

You mean the year after we cut almost all of the veteran leaders from the team, a few of who could still play, signed Byrd who turned out to be hurt, and then told Ryan we're running Seattle's Cover 3 scheme instead of letting him do what he did the year before?
This year the only differences are losing Unger (with two potential replacements on the roster), Ingram (replaced by Murrary), and Okafor (replaced by Davenport but now lacking depth at DE), and Davison (replaced by Brown). And Rankins potentially missing half the year. That’s really the only huge difference.
Then we added Cook and some other pieces that should do well. Just the threat of Cook down the seam will bring something Watson didn't the second half of the year.

We also don't have to trot a midget out there at punt returner.

The way it was going at punt returner was expecting a Peter Dinklage signing at any moment
