Age of Ultron was criticized heavily when it came out, and rightfully so

Really? Most folks on here are afraid to criticize either because they're fanboys first. Give it time and the criticisms will surface.

Because being first to the internet to bitch about something is a team sport.

We had 4.5 hours of the best (not saying THE best) in gripping entertainment air this weekend and people want to have their voice be the loudest as to why it wasn’t good.

Excellent point. You'll see the same posters complain about things like fan service in Thrones, but rave about it in Avengers.

Marvel movies have always been popcorn flicks, they are judged by a lower standard.

The first few seasons of GoT were extremely high quality and set the GoT bar very high.

The reason people rip Game of Thrones apart is because the show set high expectations for 4+ seasons. Incredible character development. Unreal world building. Legitimately shocking twists. Good writing. Etc.

Marvel movies are generally viewed through the lens of "big budget blockbuster." I don't expect perfect plots or the greatest monologues/acting. I know what I'm getting.

Thrones delivered in one way for season after season, and it's falling short in many of those ways now.

Why is it popular on here to dismiss the quality of Thrones, but not Avengers

If you miss the plethora of subtle details in Endgame, the numerous callbacks, the actual science of the time travel, the character scenes between the action sequence, the pacing and closing of arcs without necessarily ending in death, well your comprehension skills aren’t what you think they are.

I love GoT, but The Russos have done an unbelievable job telling this story.
