I find her line delivery to be very monotone. Like she’s just reading them off a piece of paper. In addition, Larson is a very wooden actress. The Avengers were a family. They love and support one another. She doesn’t fit in.

Gal Gadot is a nearly 6 foot tall former Israel Special Forces agent. She was also playing the most universally loved and respected female superheroine of all time who is a demigod. Even more importantly, she’s a likable person who isn’f running off at the mouth every chance she gets and shitting on her target audience.
Gal Gadot is an exceptional role model for young women and girls alike that you can be a gorgeous bad arse and not being a count about it all.

Wait, did you ever even watch buffy?

I mean...this is just obviously false. I'll leave it there since this isn't supposed to be a spoiler thread, but there's no way you watched that film and felt Thor is at the power level of Captain Marvel.

Or they just miscast the character with an insufferable bitch?

This isn't different from what I said.

When you see a small woman physically beating bigger people up our minds can’t grasp it.
Nah, it's because Brie Larson is an absolutely miserable a-hole and absolute bitchy count of a woman.
She has the personality off a dull rock and it rubs people the wrong way, especially when she goes all SJW on us.
Take Jennifer Lawrence or the girl who plays Supergirl on the CW, they're both big lefties but they're some of the most personable people you could ever meet and really enjoy being around.

Magus can drain life energy similar to Rogue.
If we were talking about the traditional comics version of this character, this might mean something to me. Apparently she's at celestial-level on the power scale these days. No chance Rogue getting that close to the movie version is believable anymore.

I agree that she's likeable, but the level of SJW on that show is just simply unbearable. I only watched the crossover episode this season.

God razorback fans are the worst on this site.

She's one of the cutest chicks you could ever lay eyes on and she acts like it. You can really tell that you're willing to tolerate her being a big lefty to be around her.
Props to Mon-El for putting a ring on it in real life.

It's by far the most inappropriately political DC show on the CW. The level they keep it at would kill the MCU.
Flash, Arrow and the Legends do a good job of trying to keep politics out of it and should be commended for that.

I think the ratings show it too. Not sure how it got renewed. I guess CW just doesn't have anything else?

Agreed. Makes Supergirl even more of a head scratcher.
Black Lightning started off well in the first season and then became unbearable Midway through that season. I gave up after that.

CBS released a 5 minutes sizzle reel trailer for Supergirl before it premiered a few years back, I didn’t even make it 3 minutes before turning it off. Hell I only made it that far because I spent the last 45 seconds or so laughing my arse off at how terrible it looked.

People love Gal Gadot, Scarlet Jo, and the Olsen girl.
It has 0 to do with the sex of the character.

That was a minority opinion when it first started and it found its legs in the second season the cw but quickly gave that up and we're seeing why now. It had a lot of potential to be a smallville of sorts.
What's turned Supergirl into a terrible show is the SJW politics that even liberals get tired of.

Its her concave booty. That is why people dislike her.
Nah. Though she doesn't have a lot of junk in the trunk. Some dislike her because she comes across as a jerk in interviews. Others just don't care for the way the character is played.
I think the issue is that character and actress combined just do not come across as likable.
Which can be a death blow for any hero, male or female. Folks have mentioned Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this thread and I'm sure the last season or two of that show soured a ton of people on the character. She wasn't likable anymore.
Its one of the reasons Sarah Michelle Gellar pulled the plug on the series.
