Drudge posted a survey today that declared that Americans were the “most stressed out.”
We probably just complain more.

This could be a great thread, but it won't be because everyone will just call OP and anyone that talks about the labor market in real terms a "racist".
Kind of annoying.

Normally I’m not a fan of calling things out by race but I have to agree.
White folk are raising pussies these days. Not all and there are plenty of other races have the problem too.
I absolutely would laugh at the concept of my kid working minimum wage job and chilling during the summer. Those little turds will work full time or starve. I want to do my best to help them get through school and will help but they’re not doing it without a job.

I think (?) I understand what you’re saying, but to make this about race makes you look bitter and uneducated. There is plenty of entitlement from both races nowadays, instead of people working their asses off to do a good job and climb the ladder.

If I am understanding the OP, the kids he wants are going to work (at a max) 3 months. Lets say June, July and August) - in reality, school ends late may, early june and starts again before labor day in almost all states so 3 full months is pushing it.
However, for sake of argument, the kid works 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks for 3 months
8x5x4x3 = 480 total hours. At $12,000 that means the kids are getting paid $25/hr.
Great gig if you can get it.

Meh.
You’re only in your 20s once.
When he’s 50, is he going to look back and regret not taking that $12000 job for one summer instead of chasing tail all Summer in Arizona?
The answer is no.
I worked a ton on college and made a lot of money. I would not do it again if I got to go back. $12,000 isn’t a lot of money in the grand scheme of things.

In what fricking world does working at Taco Bell make you spoiled
Truly spoiled kids wouldn’t be caught dead working fast food if they are even working at all

So he would rather stay close to home and his family and that is a bad thing? I could see if he sat on his arse and did nothing, but the kid took a job at Taco Bell, not exactly the most glamorous position... Sounds like he didn't want to be a burden and actually work, just closer to home.
Why is that a bad thing?
Sounds like you got burned and are attempting to lash out... show us where he touched you

The frick are you talking about? I wouldn't want to work for your incoherent arse either
Plus, the kid might end up getting a career that is far away. These might be the last days he gets to live with his hometown people and family. OP is a bitter a-hole.

First, 22 years old is not a kid, that’s a grown man.
Second, what damn business is it of yours where the guy wants to work or stay? You ever think there might be other factors you don’t know about? You aren’t exactly a Fortune 500 headhunter lining up careers my friend. So sorry if the dude hurt your feeling by not taking you fast food job for three months and moving across the country, lol.
Finally, your racist generalization is just wrong and I’ll give you a simple chart to prove it:
See that top line? That is white men and women, 18-44, obviously higher represented at the younger ages. White “kids” make up the majority of our military force so forgive me if I believe real stats instead of your faux outrage.

White folks, your kids are fricking soft. They will be the undoing of our freedoms, as they are too lazy and impotent to defend it.

My kids are not soft, they are just waiting on the "GO" signal to help win the upcoming civil war.

Do you have the stats for the infantry and SOF?
Posted on 4/25/19 at 8:14 pm to MrCarton
I don’t but I’ll look. They will statistically hold the same or higher though I’d bet.
Posted on 4/25/19 at 8:15 pm to 10MTNTiger
SOF is probably close to 90%+ White in most units.

Maybe his parents planned for children and they are paying for his college because that is what good parents do. As long as he is not asking me for money or asking my tax money to pay his student loan off I don't care what the does.
Posted on 4/25/19 at 8:18 pm to SoulGlo
Yeah, it's really crazy a college kid would rather hang out with his friends than do manual labor (for not that much money) in some random place
