Lower black unemployment, higher returns on investments, and a better opportunity to grow generational wealth.

Right, my point is the two groups talk past one another. Republicans don't understand why Black democrats don't want to vote republican.

For me, the problem of the black voting monolith is fairly straightforward
For ANY group to vote consistently across 4 decades at a greater than 90% clip for one party in ALL elections isn't explainable by anything other than being controlled like lemmings.
People can get mad about that, but the reality is, you can almost expect greater voting diversity at a Planned Parenthood convention than in an large group of blacks.
The sad part for blacks is this actually has the net effect of making them electorally irrelevant. Republicans don't seriously consider anything blacks say because a Republican could give 20 million blowjobs to blacks and STILL lose greater than 90/10
Democrats pay lip service to black issues but that isn't to get the black vote but rather to paint their opponents as racists and thus guilting non-blacks into voting Dem lest they be considered racist.
In the end, actually affecting black lives positively is completely irrelevant politically and one can argue that the opposite is politically beneficial for one party

It reminds me of when the Blue CheckMarks were on twitter claiming that women don't make false rape allegations. Then they had to subsequently apologize and say "except for our history of white women accusing black men of course"
