Talking heads love LeBron cause he gives his opinion that gives them more content to debate(yell) with each other. No one gives a shite about Durant cause pretty much everyone agrees he's a little bitch who so happens to be amazing at basketball.

When is some high profile mouthpiece gonna have the balls to go after the real problem nowadays? The officiating. The game is not as aesthetic as it was just years ago. ETA: NOT Having Lebron doesn’t help, but he’d be responsible for 40% of the ratings blocks in decline (his games in Cleveland plus carry over for the 9:30 slot that night).

The flopping, idiotic rules/enforcement, and emphasis on drawing contact by players league wide is drastically bringing down the watchability of these games. Players and coaches are finding ways to game the system. They don’t deserve the blame. The blame lies on the league office for not finding ways to combat it.

And those same fans couldn't care less about Durant. In terms of viewership, there is no virtually difference between love and hate. Strong emotions drive viewership. I'm honestly not sure if more people tune in to see the guy they hate lose or the guy they love win.

Viewership is down 18% for these playoffs sans LeBron. Is it related?

I think the playoffs have been perfectly enjoyable thus far without him. In fact, more enjoyable.

Never thought I would say this but... I agree with Skip Bayless.

It's funny because people will yell about how dumb Bayless is and this take, and those same people are in this same thread only talking about Lebron, not making any posts talking about KD.

If we were to create a thread every time Bayless says something stupid... we're gonna need a bigger message board.

Agree with Skip. LeBron brings drama. Durant is more fun to watch play. He just has more skill.

I don't blame Durant for not wanting to talk about free agency. He's playing for the Warriors in the playoffs.

Tiger did say that he would put himself on the Mt Rushmore of Golf. Deservedly so.
