Blue helmets are back for tomorrow night as it’s #LSU’s annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Night
Bill Franques will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch tomorrow night, per Paul Mainieri

Paul Mainieri says Chris Reid, Zach Watson and Gavin Dugas won’t play tomorrow, but he thinks they could all play against Alabama this weekend

Landon Marceaux will start tomorrow and go two-or-three innings, Paul Mainieri announces

Zack Hess feels great after pitching in relief on Saturday, Paul says, but he won’t comment on next weekend’s rotation until Thursday.
Cue rampant speculation

Hal Hughes will get his thumb re-examined by the doctor this afternoon or tomorrow morning, Paul Mainieri says.
Doesn’t expect he’ll be able to play tomorrow either way, but he’s not ruling him out for Alabama series

Man, all of this sounds pretty encouraging. Having a potential right-handed bat in Dugas could be big down the stretch. God willing Marceaux can get back to full strength too and Watson and Reid can get back in the groove.

This team has got a run in it. I can feel it in my plums.

I wish he would start someone else and then bring Marceaux in - they need to beat Lamar and if Marceaux is off this game could get away before you even get to the 3rd

From Friday night, was not brought up today

quote:

Paul Mainieri said he sent AD out to check on Clay Moffitt, and they took him out because he had some kind of arm soreness on the mound. No word on what’s go with him at this point

I can’t find it right now but sometime last week it was said Hill is progressing, no timeline for return

Pitcher Jaden Hill is “not close” to returning, Mainieri said. The freshman who opened the season in the weekend rotation has spent most of the season with a sore arm. LSU hopes to have him back by the SEC tournament, but Mainieri doesn’t know if that will happen.
From today's Advocate which is now behind a pay wall, I think. LINK

No. He will not play before the SEC tourney. But according to CPM he’s not sure if he will even be ready then.

Sorry, not sure who I was thinking of

From Saturday after the game

Also: Paul said that Jaden Hill “is not close” to returning. Sounds like some kind of setback or just a general lack of progress #LSU

The blue helmets are the GOAT

ETA: I think Hill has been shut down for the season but Paul isn’t saying it. I do not expect to see Hill again this season. Glad Marceaux is back though

Is Storz the next Jake Latz?
