Link goes much more in depth. This is pretty much what I have been assuming all along minus the fact Plageuis has assumed Kylo’s body. That doesn’t make sense because at the end of Episode VIII Rey battles him to a draw. If Plageuis infected Kylo he should dominate her.

How disappointed will everyone be if we find out the Palpatine stuff is just an old recording or hologram? After the disappointment of TLJ, I just have no real expectations for this one.

That’s a good theory if they had a laid a little more groundwork. Now it’s just an obvious retcon that feels forced. Like in Spectre when they shoehorned Blofeld as the main bad guy behind the rest of the villain in the previous movies.

Skywalker is a new term for force user
Basically the Jedi and Sith end and Rey creates an order of Skywalkers that are balanced with the force. Skywalker just being a name, not a bloodline.
It makes sense. Usually a name in the title is referred to a larger group, not a individual. Empire, Jedi, Clones, Sith, etc.
