Replacing Wade unfortunately

I’m going to go with a Wade extension that increases his AAV and locks him down.
Wishful thinking I know. I do think Wade is our coach going forward, but I suspect the BOS is going to take a wait and see before committing further.
Honestly though I think his first major contribution will be in spending big to get LSU athletic facilities for the big 3 sports back in the top tier of the SEC. Don’t get me wrong, we are still top 10-15 nationally... but that puts us down the list a ways in the SEC.
Oh and a Women’s BB coach as early as the end of next season without massive improvement.
I don’t think he goes after CPM, though falling short of super regionals probably puts him on the hot seat.
Same with Football as O just netted a $10mil buyout in his extension that drops $250k every month. I could see him beginning a coaching search this year with a 2020 change in mind if Orgeron fails to have a minimum of 10 wins in both the 2019 and 2020 regular seasons.

Saban is coming home. Saw Ms. Terry looking at real estate yesterday.

I hear Kramer Robertson’s mom is the head women’s basketball coach at Baylor and has Louisiana ties. Cmon over to BR Kim Mulkey!!!

I hope he Hires/takes Kim Mulkey from Baylor, and obviously pays her what it takes. Its a win-win with the "equal pay for women" PR and a great WBB coach.
It would be a power move that will be looked at with favorability by almost everyone, and a great way to start his reign over the athletics department.

Unless the team absolutely falls apart this year then struggles next year CPM isn’t going anywhere. Hell even then I doubt he would be fired.
Posters here seriously undervalue the consistency he has shown in his tenure here. Naming coaches with similar / better results is an awfully short list.
