If I were an athlete I'd always be suspicious about signing with a rival. Do they really want me on the field, or do they want to know what I know. I'm sure it's a little of both here (that's real money) but still, I'd always wonder.

Atlanta's defense needs help everywhere so they will be throwing money and draft picks all over the place.
Davison is dependable but not worth $3.8m. I don't think Davison has anything super secret that Atlanta hasn't already experienced with the Saints.
