If Alleva's ouster is indeed directly due to his handling of the Wade situation, then shouldn't the last email above be enough to oust King as well? After all, it says right there in black and white that King directed Alleva to "immediately and indefinitely" suspend Wade.

Very doubtful his ouster was solely due to the Wade situation.
Straw that broke the camel's back. Fan reaction made it clear that now would be a good time to make a move. Woodward is perfect for LSU. Seems this time they made damn sure they had Woodward on lockdown and moved fast.
But I don't think Alleva was fired because he did or didn't suspend Wade.
