Jacob Hester is better than PP ? Really, that alone disqualifies your list.
Posted on 4/11/19 at 11:25 pm to RoyBoy2323
1. Tommy Casanova - he would be a starting Safety today. Bigger than those we got.
2. Bert Jones
3. Billy Cannon
4. Jerry Stovall
5. Charles Alexander
6. Pat Peterson
7. Wendell Davis
8. Tyrann Mathieu
This is hard because I can make an argument for many many more players. Hell, we left an all time HoF

Everybody's picks are weighted to skill players. Faneca, Andolsek and Whitworth ought to be on the list. They were dominant at their positions.

A list of all time LSU players that includes Hester and excludes Casanova is laughable. I like Hester and I understand he’s a fan favorite but he’s not in the same league as a score or more of former Tiger players.

Casanova has to be on that old school list. I love hester but he has no business being on there.

I'll choose 8 by position, trying to mix in old and new school...
QB: Doc Fenton. LSU has the weakest QB tradition of any blue blood, so I'll just go old school and choose the virtual Heisman winner of 1908.
RB: Charles Alexander. Probably the most underrated player in LSU history. Heisman finalist, put up sick numbers, and was by far the best player of his era.
WR: Wendell Davis. Won the SEC Player of the Year as a wide out. Two time All-American. Total stud. No contest.
OL: Alan Faneca. Lots of options, but Faneca was amazing.
DL: Glenn Dorsey. Had he been an offensive player, he would have won the Heisman. Best player on perhaps LSU's best team ever.
LB: Devin White. LSU has a rich LB tradition, and had an AA at the position for 5 straight years from 68-72. White's the best ever.
DB: Tommy Casanova. I really want to take Peterson, but Casanova is a three-time AA, a ridiculous feat.
Swing: Honey Badger. I'm tempted to go Stovall, who was a legit stud on both sides of the ball, but as my wild card, I'm going with the incomparable Tyrann Mathieu. He was a force of nature. We'll never see another player like him.

In no particular order
Ya tittle
Jim Taylor
Jerry Stovall
Alan Faneca
Bert Jones
Billy cannon
Leonard Marshall
Kevin Faulk
Too soon to declare for the others yet.
And yes I am basing it on their LSU and pro career

Casanova was pretty solid I’d say.
