Newsweek

quote:

"Immigration issues are driving a lot of the political turmoil here in Europe and in my own country," Obama said in a shared video of the talk.

Urging those in the crowd to view those who expressed opposition to immigration with empathy, Obama said: "We can't label everyone who is disturbed by migration as racist.

"If you're going to have a coherent, cohesive society, then everybody has to have some agreed-upon rules. And there are going to have to be some accommodations that everybody makes. And that includes the people who are newcomers. The question is, are those fair?" Obama said.

"Should we want to encourage newcomers to learn the language of the country that they're moving to? Of course," he continued. "Does that mean that they can never use their own language? No, of course it doesn't mean that, but it's not racist to say, 'Ah, if you're going to be here then you should learn the language of the country that you just arrived at because we need to have some sort of common language in which all of us can work, and learn and understand each other.

Democrat polling must show Trump absolutely crushing it with his immigration positions.

Not a single progressive will call him a racist for saying this. However, when Trump said this, he was Hitler reincarnate.

one of the surefire signs of the massive and energetic move left by the DEMs/left is their newfound distaste of Obama

Don't take the bait. This is a classic left wing maneuver, a narrowing of the discourse, designed to make eager cuckservatives accept that caring about the race of people flooding into the country is off the table.

Every boomer just shared this BHO vidya on the Facebook, I'm sure of it.

Obama was a huge disappointment to the far left. He, like Trump, cucked on his major promises. Unlike Trump, BHO did have balls to stand up to the opposition from time to time.

his biggest, crowning achievement was a slight Medicaid expansion (that states had to opt-in to make effective) and a massive crony-capitalist policy that benefited major health insurance companies. what was his 2nd biggest victory? taking down FIFA?

What do you mean unlike Trump? Trump stands up to everyone...daily.

Yep, I can imagine there is a reason Soros called Obama his "biggest disappointment"
