You are paying for more than just a beer at a bar though.
It might not matter to you, but just noting they the entire process is different.

You're never going to get the same product for the same price at a bar vs. drinking at home.
Unless the bar is running a crazy special.

I also predicted this

At a bar you pay for the entertainment value and atmosphere of a bar. There is also the fact that they pour your beer for you and then do the dishes for you after.
I also think with alot of these beers, its more about just trying it once to see what it tastes like. I would be more willing to buy one of these for $8 or $9 instead of 4 for $24.

Parish dick suckers come into these threads and say the stupidest shite to try to make Parish look ok
I don't understand why people get so mad at Parish. Like all their releases, people are going to lineup and clear them put in a couple of hours despite the price point. Why should Parish change anything they do?
I'm surely not driving an hour away to spend $24 on a 4 pack, but plenty of people still will, and until people decide the cost isn't worth the product, Parish has no incentive to change.

I don’t understand why people give a shite what someone is willing to pay for a beer it’s their money, they can throw it in the fricking garbage cans why do you give a shite, where did Parish touch you!?

Person A is mad because if Person B is willing to buy it at a higher price, and enough people like Person B exist, it will stay at a higher price. And now Person A is not able to buy it because it was not worth the new price to him.
Meanwhile Urban South, NOLA, Gnarly Barley, Great Raft and Tin Roof are catering more towards Person A, with more frequent releases and cheaper products... Thats why Parish gets shite on.
Now if those breweries had national name recognition like Parish, they would probably do it to. So not disagreeing with what they are doing, just saying thats why they get shite on by a local website such as TD

The free market is a beautiful thing. If more people start buying Urban South, NOLA, Tin Roof, etc. maybe Parish will be forced to rethink their marketing strategies. But until that happens, I don't understand the people bitching about Parish doing what's best for them.

Parish is releasing in a void right now. They get a few neckbeards and shitlords from NOLA and Houston for the releases, but Acadiana and BR is a large population with no competition.

I think the owner of Parish triggers the baws here pretty badly

I don't know why people hate parish now. It's the same crowd that used to shitlord cases of their stiff at every release. Ghost in the head is still the greatest.
Posted on 4/8/19 at 1:56 pm to Tiger Ryno
I don't think anyone is hating on Parish yet. Just the discussion of price, which is going off the charts for every brewery.
Also think the reaction is because people are bored with craft beer, not just Parish.

They don't understand how much it costs to get all these hop varieties for smaller breweries. Plus marketing and overage charges and what have you.

Agree it costs money to make money, if that is what you mean.
Not sure if those prices have doubled in the last 5 years though. Don't have any knowledge one way are the other.
Fine with them charging 30% more for Ghost than when it was released. I'll either buy it or won't. Lately it has been more on the won't side, and not really because of price.

Lulz that’s exactly why all these Parish threads turn into, a shite show
quarter of them are Bud Light drinkers they’re just pissed off no matter what brewery does what, hell I’d be pissed too, BL sucks
The other half just hate Parish for whatever reason and the others are just here to read comments and stir up shite

Because people are bored with craft beer
I don’t understand this statement?
Craft beer is delicious and ever changing some of these people would benefit greatly by trying some

Agree. Just saying I haven't seen it yet.

Agree. Just don't think it is at the rise it was at a couple years ago. As I said, data might not back that up though.

I'm saying that I'm okay with paying $6-8 for a beer regardless of where it is purchased and consumed.
I don't want to pay the same price for a beer at home as I do at a restaurant.
