QB dominoes will prob start falling soon

DJ Uiagalelei is visiting Clemson as we speak for 4 days for their spring game. that one is a dabo lock, wouldn't be shocked at all to see a commitment in the next few days.
still interested to see where this haynes king dude is gonna fit with LSU.

I kinda hope he does commit to Clemson soon just so we can move on and focus on the two QB's we have committed while also keeping close tabs on Haynes in case one of the two we have decides to de-commit. I don't want another Tua, Brennan, Narciesse scenario to play out. As great as it would be to get Uiagalelei, I imagine its a long shot and I'm more than pleased with our other options.

Move on and take off the Purple/Gold glasses... that kid is not coming here. Clemson will be the perfect situation for him. Lawrence will likely be the #1 pick in 2021, he'll be able to back up Lawrence in a few games his freshman season, redshirt, and become the starter in fall of 2021. It will be hard not to follow behind Watson and Lawrence success in that offfense.

It will come down to whether the #1 QB in this year's class wants to wait to get a chance to start. I know nothing about the guy but if he is not patient and looking forward to being a backup Clemson may not be perfect for him.
I'm not saying this because I thought LSU ever had a chance at him.

I'm not saying this because I thought LSU ever had a chance at him. If Clemson gets him Dabo may be the best recruiter EVER. #1 QB in nation going to a school knowing he won't get significant playing time for at least two years would be quite the pull.
he'd only have to sit for 1 year, not 2. lawrence will assuredly go pro after 3 years, and in comes DJ.

I must be completely missing something here. Lawrence will be a JR when DJ is a FR. So at the most he will have to wait one year until he would be the starter unless Lawrence comes back for his SR year which I highly doubt he would.

Didn't Justin Fields go to Georgia with the #1 quarterbacks from the previous 2 years already there.

You are correct. My bad. I was thinking DJ would be at Clemson this season but he won't be there until the next.

I guess, I don't keep up with Georgia very much. Isn't Justin Fields at Ohio State now.
Hard to keep up with OSU's revolving door for the QB position. I know they lost Martell to Miami because another high-profile QB transferred to OSU.

The new redshirt rule makes it much easier for QBs. He'll be able to mop up

Yea, I had to read it a couple times to see what he was saying. He will back-up Lawrence and redshirt in the same season, not different seasons. Backs up Lawrence for 4 games and then takes a redshirt for the season.

I doubt we get him but he couldn't step into a better situation here at LSU with this being Burrows last year. Plus he would be a great fit for the type offense we are moving to. Not to mention coming here would get him into the SEC, playing against the best defenses, instead of the ACC. If he is smart he would come to LSU.
