Cliches/Sayings that do not make sense

I hear on TV and on songs, "Live everyday likes it's your last day." If you knew you'd die in one day, people would blow tons of money, skip work to see family, maybe donate their entire savings to charity, do a lot of law breaking. Point is that you should not live everyday like it's your last day. What are some sayings that don't make sense?
