Would a 19' glass boat be able to handle those lakes without much issue?
Dude I grew up fishing Toledo in a 14’ glass Cajun with the tri hull.
19’ would’ve seemed like a battleship to little Prez.

We have a 2017 tracker 195 we bought brand new
Huge decks, 150 HP 4 stroke, 19 feet with an 8 foot beam
Bought brand new for $23,500
We cross verett often and it handles it well. It ain’t a glass ride, and it doesn’t have the express name, but I have a hard time hearing of more fishing capability and motor power for that price

I really don’t understand the hate aluminum boats get. I had a 18’ Nitro before my current 18’ aluminum ranger. I can’t say there are many time I say I’d rather have the glass rig.
I fish at Toledo in my boat a good bit never had a problem. You just have to be smart about where you put in and want to fish.
I don’t see why a 21’ Xpress or one of the bigger Vexus hulls wouldn’t fit your needs.

While there are some really nice aluminum bass boats out there right now, for fishing those lakes I’d go glass all the way.
+1, In saying that when I started fishing TB and Rayburn it was in an Xpress H51 17' Aluminum boat. It got me everywhere I needed just some days you have to be smart.

I don’t really see any hating going on. If he is buying a boat and fishing those two lakes I would think most would agree a glass boat is most comfortable. $30k can get you a pretty nice setup.

Definitely not hating. In fact, if I were to buy a new boat today it would be an aluminum. But I mainly fish shallow stumpy waters in the basin. If I fished those 2 lakes most of the time I’d stick with a glass boat.

I had Lowe ST175 Stinger and really liked it but on big water you should go with a glass boat.

I know of a 21ft Nitro loaded with graphs, power poles, etc with low hours in your price range. Let me know if interested I'll give you the contact info.

Yeah I am interested. Let me know

I think somebody’s personal fishing style would come into play some here also. There are plenty shallow stumpy areas, especially in the north part of the lake. If your sitting out in the main lake fishing humps or ledges a glass boat would be better suited for that.

Anymore of a review or experience you can share?
I do like the idea of getting one custom made to fit my needs.

I would personally go aluminum for Toledo bend. They don't ride that bad IMO. There are A LOT of underwater obstructions in TB and I like the Piece of mind of being in Aluminum. My neighbor's padnah just did 6K worth of damage to his Brand new 72K Phoenix by idling over what he thinks was a piece of concrete. Scraped the stern end and broke off the points on his stepped hull. In an aluminum boat would have just been some bad scratches. Any rough conditions are gonna suck, just suck it up and plow through. Bunch of queens out there worried about a soft ride. As long as your boat is 18 ft or longer you should be Okay.

Why get a bass boat. Get a center console

Absolutely. I fish a ton of tournaments on both lakes out of a Triton TR-196 which is a 19' 6" boat.

I have a house on Toledo Bend.
Over the years I ran 3 champions all been in the fiberglass shop. 2 Progators which held up well. Every time I turned around my boats were in the shop.
Just got tired of cost of repairs and bought a nicer Aluminum boat a few years ago. Rides ok in light chop.
Yes, you do give up s comfortable ride.
Those days of riding across across Toledo Bend on a windy day or over.
My friend taught me this idea.
Drive to the cove you want to fish and launch in that area.
Tournament guy I would go fiberglass as you may want to get soaked crossing the lake to fish your honey hole. Toledo Bend can go from a hot chick with makeup on to oh cr$p this things ugly with make up off quickly.
Weekend or weekday warrior aluminum boat.
If the lakes too choppy I go back to the camp drink some beer and enjoy my view of the lake.

You aren’t buying custom or semi custom Al boat for your budget. Al has zero flex so 99/100 it’s going to be a stiffer ride. There was an Alex Gravois bass boat on LAS forsale that was in your budget but not sure if still available.
