Millennial is a popular term/insult in recent years, people have debated what exactly is meant by this, and it seems to come down to opinion and a general "feel" to some.

Is it those born after 2000? Or those born 1982-1995 who were in the school system in 2000? Or just young people who's liberal and offended? 14 year olds eating tide pods? Or 30 year old "nu-males" with hipster beards and manbuns, who drink soy and watch superhero movies?

It is a state of mind. Year doesn't play as much a part as it seems.

I have met plenty of millennials with all kinds if political ideologies.

Entitlement is the leading factor it seems.

Probably the best time frame.

If you were the youngest sibling in 82 you will probably relate more to gen x, just like if you are the oldest born in 98 you will probably relate more to whatever is after millennials

86-94 is peak millennial and I say that as someone born in that middle of that

Generally independent, conservative/libertarian who come of age at Pax Americana and then were forced to bear the brunt of the Iraq War, War on Terror, and then graduated at the worst time to graduate since the Great Depression.

Despite the pop culture cliche of calling them pajama wearing, snowflakes, most are law abiding, tax paying citizens that want to make their community better and be left alone to live their lives.

Born between 1982 to 1998, the older ones can remember life without the internet and the younger ones can remember life without iPhones.

I think it’s now come to be used interchangeably between a being of a certain age bracket and being tech savvy, socially progressive, environmentally aware, entitled and lazy.

I don’t think it is. Someone born in 1995 was fricking 5 or 6 when 9/11 happened. Someone that is 19 is going to be profoundly more effected by it and have a much different childhood than someone born in 95. 1980-1991 seems like the better cut off.

A chick who is under 30 with armpit hair, shrill SJW voice, and a tall skinny due with a nose ring, Waldo hat, and no job.

That's a hipster.

Hipsters do not always mean millenials

Interesting opinion. But people 13-21 (who were born after 95) are always referred to Millennials on this board, and the Internet, usually when ranting about them. Are they real millennials or fake?

Born 1981 to 1996.

Millennial isn't an umbrella term for people you don't like. If it seems like many Millennials don't seem to fit your stereotype, maybe it's time to reconsider your stereotype.

Or we'll start calling 14 year olds eating Tide Pods Gen X'ers just to piss you all off.

Neither. Just means the people doing the ranting are wrong.

It is people who turned 18 when the new MILLENNIum started, and then the people after that. Around 12-20 years later or so. Any other answer is retarded
