Finding dead worker termites

If you have Terminix or something similar, I'd call them immediately and have them do an inspection.

It should be covered under your contract, so you're not paying them extra to come out there and look.

Inside or outside light fixtures? They might have been there since last year’s swarm

Wings are so delicate and being in a light fixture they many have simply burned away.

I'd go with last year's swarm, but it's good to play it safe and have the house looked at.

I always find some in light fixtures, both inside and out. Probably not a reason to panic, unless you know you already cleaned them out from last year's swarm and new ones popped up out of nowhere.

When they swarm they get into your attic pretty easily (through vents, chimneys, you name it...if there's a crack they find it), and from there they are attracted to light and crawl down into the fixtures. The lack of wings probably just means they shed them somewhere in the atttic before getting into the fixture

Get ready to see them swarming again in a couple weeks. My favorite time of year

if they die thats normal and nothing to worry about

if you find piles of just wings, THEN YOU NEED TO WORRY, because when they move in and start nesting they drop their wings since they arent leaving any more

You better hope they don’t find any significant damage or they will try like heck to claim they are not responsible to cover damages. I would document everything just in case they find damage so you will be prepared for court
