Has this tyoe of recording ever surfaced in an NCAA investigation?

Yes, anything is possible and apparently occurred in this instance but federal wiretappinf would seem to be a stretch to anticipate.

It's not stretch to think that Dawkins would record some convos for blackmail. Wade should have been more careful and not such a dick to the guy, not hard to see why Wade is the guy Dawkins want to bring down with him.

Most of us don't engage in business activity/practices that could considered to be as a violation of rules, regulations or laws and otherwise questionable behavior.
