Don't forget Yahoo is owned by Verizon. That is where the money is.

Sadly owned by them but I can tell you they are 100% hands off on it. And I wouldnt be surprised if it gets sold off soon considering their terrible results and data breaches the last couple years.

Yahoo did not leak the story. They reported it just like others would have done were it leaked to them.

I have a bigger problem with the proselytizing and hypocritical talking heads at ESPN like Dick Vitale. Do I need to boycott Disney, ABC, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilms, 20th Century Fox and the Muppets?

Stupidity.

CSB, but the breaches were prior to the acquisition.

quote:

the CISO who was at the head of Yahoo’s security operations when its massive breaches were revealed (although he was not there at the time that they were taking place). That breach resulted in Verizon knocking off several hundred million dollars from its original offer price for the company.

You need to call Verizon customer service and demand that Pat Forde be fired.

I will just guess that when Fatima in Dubai answers she will not be familiar with Pat Forde. Maybe Sachin Tendulkar but not Pat Forde.

Absolutely stupid line of thinking. If you boycotted every parent company that pissed you off once, had bad business practices, etc., you’d never get anything done.

Dude, I boycotted the Muppets years ago after the “incident.”

I know they drugged you but it was out of your system and how "big" could he have been to do any real damage? Did you ever get that lube stain off?

correct. It's called shooting the messenger. This board is so emotional they can't understand that Forde's job is to generate clicks - period. Neither Forde or Yahoo or Verizon hate LSU. In fact, LSU basketball is barely on the radar for most people nationwide.

This is a story about a head coach at a major university in a major conference being on tape. That's extremely newsworthy, and there's no need to shoot the messenger. Any journalist would run with that story.

CSB but the acquisition had already been agreed to, just not yet finalized. The scope of the breach was also expanded afterwards. Also, see Oath not doing so hot.

His job is to report facts and findings, not his interpretation of what he thinks he found.
