It’s not 100% out of character that she could defeat an injured Hound.

At the time of the fight in the show, The Hound wasn’t explicitly stated as being infected, he could have been but he sure as shite didn’t seem that injured in the show.

Furthermore, in the books, it was the infection that got The Hound, he was never bested in battle. He killed three or four Lannister/The Mountain trained swordsmen in single combat.

And Brienne is described as a freak and as strong as a man in the books.

The Hound is considered as one of the biggest and strongest men in Westeros. And widely regarded as one of the top 5 swords in the kingdom.

The Hound would’ve absolutely killed her

Brienne could pretty much give anybody a run for their money. If you're a book reader you should especially know that given she handled Loras fairly easy, who is 10x the fighter the show makes him out to be.

Cersie blowing up the cept and nobody in kings landing seemed to care. The principle behind that is one of my least favorite things about the show, although the scene in itself was great.

Area Hotah getting stabbed in the back and dropping dead was completely ridiculous and a serious injustice to his character. The fact that nobody cared that a paramore kills the prince of dorne is incredibly ridiculous. Why would anybody support her? Oberyn liked her so yea its completely cool for her to murder Doran. Gtfowts

Arya essentially being a faceless man kills me. She is my favorite character in the books and I pray they dont take the same route. She barely had any legit training, disguised herself one time, and not on her own. But now shes just full blown can do anything a faceless man can do?

Barristan killed by a bunch of teenagers

Littlefinger being taken out by a human 8 Ball

It being completely glossed over Littlefinger is behind everything

Jaime not revealing to Tyrion the truth about Tysha

No, Jaime himself thought about who could potentially take him in a fight before he lost the hand and Sandor was on his list of who could match him possibly.

Jaime staying with Cersei after she blew up the frickin Sept of Baelor

And fricking her. I think that’s the scene that pissed me off the most on retrospect.

If GRRM finishes the books ( ) I really hope he doesn’t let the NK use a dragon to take down the Wall. The fact that everything could have been avoided if they listened to the Archmaester and ignored the WW really annoys me.

No one has even managed to seriously wound her in the books.(Maybe the bear?) She whipped Loras Tyrell's arse and he was considered one of the best swordsmen in the 7 kingdoms.

Save for Jaime (pre hand decapitation) and Barristan, the Hound is easily the most well rounded fighter in the series. He’d destroy Loras all things being equal.

No she didn’t, I just did a reread of that book not long ago, she didn’t beat him easily. She almost lost to him and got lucky. Keep in mind that he wasn’t even a fully grown man by then while she was a grown up.

She would’ve gotten slaughtered by The Hound who was of a level of Jaime Lannister.

Direct quotes from the books:

She is stronger than I am. The realization chilled him.

—thoughts of Jaime Lannister

Loras: Draw your sword, woman!
Jaime: Best hope she doesn't. Or it's like to be your corpse we carry out. The wench is as strong as Gregor Clegane, though not so pretty.

—Loras Tyrell and Jaime Lannister

I guess you had forgotten that Jaime had been a prisoner for over a year?

The Brienne vs Arya "fight" was so much worse imo. Arya was the worst character in s7

Name a better rounded fighter than the Hound at the start of the series save for Barristan.

Might have a winner.

What good did it do for jon to jump back in to battle and not just take off on drogon with the rest of them? He was jumping back into certain death and put them at more risk waiting on him. Also, Coldhands could have made it out. He died for nothing.

Not the Hound or Jaime in full form. I think they would have made short work of her. She’s basically taken down by thugs like Rorge in the books. The Hound and Jaime would destroy those untrained thugs.

And he wasn't too fat to sit a horse.

They fricked him up so bad.

Also, we got cheated out of Mance the Bard and his women infiltrating Winterfell.

Yeah, that episode definitely had it's share of forced events. Not to mention the awkward Arya/Sansa scenes.

Well, this thread quickly turned into 'minor moments from the book series I wanted to see'.
