I’ll never understand the appeal of these dogs or the rationalization their owners make about how he’s such a good dog and would never hurt anybody. By and large trash are the ones who gravitate towards the breed, I’m assuming because they’re...trash. But why? If you want a dog why not get any of the other breeds that don’t kill people. Are these dogs just sweeter and more lovable than any of the others?

Apples to Oranges. You need a permit to catch fish because it is legally taking state or federal "property".

But being around any pit bull you really have to watch out. They must be segregated when eating, getting a treat or really getting any attention. And do not approach one from it's blindspots especially when it's head is down.

Did you make this number up, cuz that seems insanely high? If 0.5% of all pit bulls will attack someone AND kill someone, that is completely unacceptable.

Also, the lottery analogy is super dumb, don’t use that in future arguments.

The better analogy is, would you ever buy a lottery ticket if 1 out of every 200 people (0.5%) that did were brutally mauled to death? I sure as frick wouldn’t.

She owned these dogs and had kids? Goddamn

I'd be willing to bet a very large sum of money, that this woman had defended her dogs as being non-aggressive, just days before that happened. "not the breed, it's how they're raised" or some other nonsense that is often repeated.

Your momma and I never would have moved into this neighborhood if we knew you needed a gun to walk down the damn street.

If by outlaw you mean trashy people, then they already have them.

This is a pretty good example of what I've repeatedly said about pits. The vast majority of them are great dogs, but you have no way of knowing which one out of a hundred is suddenly going to snap. When that one snaps, the damage is often irreversible.

I love M&Ms, but if you gave me a bag with 100 M&Ms in it and told me that one of them will kill me if I eat it and there's no way to tell which one it is then I'm throwing that bag in the trash.

For all the pit defenders out there, statistics show that pits are responsible for more deaths EVERY YEAR than all other breeds COMBINED. There is no way, statistically, that you can attribute that to bad owners. There is something inherently, genetically wrong with those dogs.

Easy there chief, I never said the breed needs to be exterminated

But it does beg the question: how many people would have to get mauled to death by pitbulls for you to admit there is a problem?

I dont feel like this article is a great reference for your point. Dogs were quarantined for biting, so clearly an issue with them already. Lady goes unattended to see fricked up dogs and fricked up dogs do what they had already done. Other people are unwilling to help and fricked up dogs are allowed long amounts of time to do what they were doing
