I’ve had a Mako for a couple of years. Good everyday watch for the money. Glass is showing some scratches, but shite, I paid like $100 for it and haven’t babied it at all.

Not styled good enough for me, but no reason not to if you like one.

What kind of tryhard would wear a watch to hope to impress people??

I personally like the Omega Speedy due to its history and cool pedigree, and i have a g-shock to time my running.. but if i ever try to impress ppl with my watch, then it’s all over for me... besides, 95% of the public doesn’t even know a quality watch from a crappy knock-off.

As good as it gets in their price range. Owned by the same group as Seiko. Get one if you like the style, and that's your budget.

It pretty much is an automatic Seiko with a different label.

Yep.

Models are different, but it's the same company. Comparable models in comparable price ranges are comparable.

Solid watches for the price. Honestly, at those lower price points, I tend to prefer some of the micro-brands.
